Commission for a photography and event space in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The space is conceived as an open-plan studio and designed to support flexibility. Wide plank flooring, milled from reclaimed heart pine grounds the space and brings warmth and texture to the whitewashed brick backdrop.

In homage to the timber joist construction typical of the Brooklyn loft, a custom line of solid plank furniture was designed specifically for this project. With functionality in mind all furniture was placed on wheels, allowing the space to be reconfigured quickly between different sets.

The bathrooms are finished in monochrome tones with cement tile, sprayed textured ceilings, and stainless steel fixtures—utilitarian details that reflect the studio’s functional aesthetic.
